Anchored in Jesus Church

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19

God provides abundantly for our kids. This week our freezer and storeroom were full of bread, rolls, fresh vegetables, potatoes, onions and apples, so every child gets a healthy, varied meal each day. The kids also had time to play soccer on the lawn and get help with their homework.

Thank you to our food partners

We cannot serve healthy and diverse meals to the kids every day without your support. Thank you to:

• Steampunk Bakery, for the bread and rolls
• Dewald and Martie from Fish and Bread
• Lewenssentrum
• NG Kerk Suid

May God richly bless you.

Keeping the kids safe, fed and learning

• Prevesh Moodley closed the manholes and storm water drain, so the grounds are safe for the kids to play.
• Jaco Kukard fixed our electrical wiring so we can connect the generator. The lights stay on during load shedding.
• Pieter and Chantelle from Spring Forest Plumbing connected the water to the office basin and the dishwasher.
• Martie and Dieter help our kids with their studies. Much appreciated!

“His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22–23

Please pray for our kids

Peer pressure from the wrong friends sometimes leads our kids into trouble. Please pray that God protects them, gives them courage to choose what is right, and brings good friends into their lives.

Attendance also dropped this week because of month end, Voting Day, and schools closing early for exams. Please pray that the kids return in full as the exam season ends.

Coming up: 9–15 November

Everything happens at our premises, 22 Parklands Lane, Alberton North (next to Parklands High).

• Mon 9 – Fri 13 Nov: after-school programme with lunch from 15:00 to 15:30, homework help and play time
• Wed 11 Nov, 10:00–12:00: Parents Outreach – all parents welcome
• Fri 13 Nov, 14:00–16:00: Bible Study led by De Wet
• Fri 13 Nov, 16:00–18:00: Youth Event – an afternoon of fun
• Sat 14 Nov: weekend programme for the kids
• Sun 15 Nov, 09:30: church service and Sunday School

How you can help

We are trusting God for our next provision:

• A gate motor, to keep the main gate locked at all times
• An electronic pedestrian gate with intercom, so only our own kids come onto the premises
• A pop-up splash pool, for summer fun
• Movable, collapsible soccer goals, to replace the rubbish bin the kids now use as a goal

To help with any of these, contact Roelf Strydom on 082 563 1456 or roelfstr@me.com.

To everyone who gives, serves and prays: thank you. May God bless you abundantly.
